"True Test of Soldiership"
Pic of a FARDC ( Congolese National Army) Soldier.
Standing with his weapon near his isolated post in a remote place. Napoleon Bonaparte said that "An army marches on its stomach" . That means the soldiers needs to be provided with proper logistic supply. But these members of Congolese Army have nothing like that, then how do they march. They are sent in a post as 2 of 3 person for few months, without any logistic supply. Then how do they survive? They survive with the help of the local and surrounding. No logistic support ant at the end of the month poor slary, how do you expect true soldier-ship from him? Yet they stay and fight all the time against the rebels. Most of these Army members are recruited from ex militia group. Do you have idea how much is his monthly salary is? They are paid with 35 USD. Which is not good enough to spent a week on Congo. Endless challenging life, they stays not fed, not supplied with any militay gear for years together. Truly a taste of military soldiership.
