Last night I decided that Ginger I would hike up to the neighborhood just above mine and get a sunrise photo just as the sun was rising above the mountain. When we left the house the sky was completly grey and covered with clouds. Hoping for a break in the clouds, we jogged as fast as I could with my camera equipment straped to my back. Once ariving at the top of the hill in this grassy patch I saw there would be no hope of a sunrise. Luckily I had my Nikon 50mm f/1.2 lens in the bag which had not been mounted since I purchased my 50mm AF-S f/1.4 almost a year ago. I set up my lighting and found some street lights to create bokeh balls. My manual focus skills are a little rusy and my model was not cooperating as well as normal, it was very exciting to be in a large open field with room to run. It was great to use this beautiful lens after months of sitting my bag.
Until tomorrow,
Enjoy
